The Process

We invite you to learn how a Comfort Keepers® franchise can meet your professional and personal goals with a growing opportunity in the business of doing good for others. Here's an overview of the steps to becoming a Comfort Keepers Franchisee.

Thank you for your interest in learning more about a Comfort Keepers franchise opportunity in Canada. Your franchise development representative will guide you through the following steps in order to give you the information you want to make an informed decision. Our mutual evaluation process generally takes 4 weeks.

1
Introduction to Comfort Keepers
In our initial phone conversation, you will be generally introduced to the Comfort Keepers opportunity and directed as to where you can find further information.  We will also review your strengths to determine a fit.
2 First Interview
This will be an in-depth conversation with your franchise development representative where you will learn about Comfort Keepers' ongoing assistance, training programs, marketing programs, franchisee support center, and the field and sales support. You will not be alone! During this discussion we will determine your past experience and skill set suitability.
3 Complete A Confidential Qualification Form
Your information will be held in the strictest of confidence. In order for us to move forward, you must complete this step in our mutual evaluation process.
4 Second Interview
Qualified canidates shall be invited for a second interview where you will be provided with a detailed overview of the Comfort Keepers business model. You will learn what it takes to succeed in this business and the tools and support we provide to assist you. Together we will determine if you fit our core values and embrace our vision.
5 Franchise Disclosure Document and In-Depth Territory Discussion
For your protection certain provinces require that franchisors provide a disclosure document. Read it carefully for a greater understanding of what our mutual relationship will be and take it to your advisors. Then you’ll be ready for the next important step, the discussion of how we will define your protected territory.
6 Market Study and Discussions with Franchisees
You will complete a competitive market analysis of your specific market. At this point you have amassed a basic understanding of how a Comfort Keepers franchise operates. This necessary background will enable you to speak comfortably with Comfort Keepers franchisees as you validate your understanding. Now it is time to schedule your visit to our corporate offices!
7 Final Interview at Corporate Office
The Final Interview is your final step in the mutual evaluation process before the decision is made to award you a franchise. This is your opportunity to meet some of the people who will support you as a Comfort Keepers franchisee. In addition, you will be able to witness the depth of the franchisee support center organization and validate firsthand what our franchisees have told you.
8 Sign Franchise Agreement, Receive the Pre-Opening Manual, and Schedule Training
Congratulations - you are now a Comfort Keepers franchisee and well on your way to opening your office!
9 Attend The 7 Day Training Class At Our Franchisee Support Center
This dynamic and interactive training class is where you receive comprehensive training on the sales and networking techniques to grow your business, human resource training for successful recruitment and retention, client care instruction, sales, operations, and management of your business and much, much more.
